Mark your calenders, the date and location for the 2012 Post Holidays Party is Saturday, February 18th 2012, again at the Gourmet Manor.

The time alloted will be 1 hour less, the officers/party planners have yet to determine if we'll be 4-10pm or 5-11pm, I'd lean towards the 5-11pm slot with a 30-45 early entry for our set up people.

Mike.

If we are looking to get subs, I can get large subs from Bommarito's in St. Clair Shores. These would be "special" subs for the regular price as my brothers Father-in-Law works there. 6ft is $69.99 and 3ft is $39.99. I have had these subs several times and they are better than any other chain sub around. http://bommaritobakery.com/subs.html

+1 for Bommarito's subs. I am pretty much obsessive with my subs, and I can tell you there is no better sub in town.

Bommarito's . Yes. We've been offered the chance to get them from here for several years, but for whatever reason it didn't happen. Go for it this year?

I went to high school with their kids, maybe they run it now? Funny thing that the guy in my grade was named Vince, but of course we called him Vinny Bommarito because this was the welcome back Kotter era.

:D It is time to start the food and beer list for CRAFT’s Post Holiday Party for 2012. :D

This year’s party will be held on Saturday February 18th and will once again be at:

Gourmet Manor
29730 Groesbeck Hwy
Roseville, MI 48066

This is just north of 12 Mile road on the east side.

Party Hours are from 5-11 p.m. with the raffle drawings starting at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices this year are the same as last year, $10 per member or $15 for non-members, and will be available at our February 6th meeting at Great Baraboo or at the door. In order to purchase tickets at the member rate and to be eligible for the main raffles, your 2011-2012 membership dues must be paid in full. Raffle tickets will be $5 per ticket or 5 for $20 for the large raffle items. The small raffle items will be $1 per ticket or 7 for $5. Non-members are not eligible for the main raffle items but there will also be a separate raffle for non-members only. Non-winning non-member tickets will be eligible for the swag table.

This year CRAFT will be supplying Bommarito’s Party Subs, but as always, we ask that you bring a dish to pass and/or Keg to share. Please refrain from crumbly food and/or crumbly cakes as it makes it very hard for the hall to clean out of the carpeting. All efforts will be made to have enough extension cords and power strips on hand to accommodate all crock pots and warming dishes that are brought this year. BOTH portable bars and the randle will be there, that means 12 taps to fill! If you bring a keg, please make sure to label your keg as to what is in it AND who's keg it is! If you do not keg, or prefer to bring some bottles or growlers, PLEASE keep these at your table and share with guests that walk by. Please make sure to be careful with your glassware in the parking lot also. We’ve had some broken bottles left in the parking lot in the past.

Gourmet Manor’s management has asked that we be cleaned up and cleared out of the hall by 11:00 PM sharp so we are looking for volunteers to help with clean up. It is not that hard, just collect all the cups and bottles that are left on the tables and toss them in the trash. We are looking for at least 8 volunteers to do this.

We would also like a volunteer to act as cellar master for the party with the main task of making sure that all kegs that are brought are cycled through and served at some point and any empty kegs get switched out.

Please post a reply to this post if you will be bringing a dish or beer, or if you’re volunteering for clean-up duty or cellar master.

CRAFT SUPPLIED ITEMS: Bommarito’s Party Subs / Non-Alcoholic beverages & water / Chips & snacks

I'll bring a keg or two of something. Tracy and I will also bring queso dip and tortilla chips.
