C.R.A.F.T. has its very own PICO system available to all PAID club members. Rental fee of: $3.00 for extract brews (one keg) or $5.00 for the whole system. This is not a freebie. See rules below.

For Pico system Efficiency report see "Education" Page.

This $1500 system is the 1/2 bbl (15 gal) system we use for our brew demos and brewing events.

  4. Rental period: 72 hours.
  5. Sign up sheet available at Art's.

Hints For Using The Pico System

  1. In the mash you should make sure you have the two pieces of false bottom that fit the best together and make sure you have them pressed down as tight as possible, watch the center seam.
  2. In the boil kettle bag your hops and don't use the false bottom at all. Nor the pipe that lead to the bottom. The pipe just pulls everything off the bottom that has settled while cooling. This is the junk that will plug the pump, at the worst time. You should also end up with a cleaner primary and of course an even cleaner secondary.
  3. It appears that the "clog" we are seeing is stuff clogging those scrubbies at the bottom. Anybody using in future should plan NOT to put them below the outlet pipe. The problem is not the pumps.
